Each book has been released in a hard back version with a subsequent paperback edition following not too far behind. The first four books of the original series are the only ones to have more than one cover, and whenever their second/third covers came out instead of re-releasing the book in hardback they were just given new jackets so as to match the rest of the series with the newer design.
